For more than six decades, Venue on Lake Lily has served as a gathering place where Maitland comes together to celebrate, connect and support one another. As an independent nonprofit community venue, it has welcomed civic forums, Veterans Day programs, arts celebrations and fundraisers that bring attention and resources to people and organizations making a difference. That history reflects the Venue’s broader mission to provide a home for charitable, civic, educational, cultural and recreational events in the heart of the community.

Over the years, the Venue has hosted events that celebrate local heroes and respond to community needs, including a family bingo night benefiting Officer Joshua Rotarius and a Veterans Day barbecue honoring veterans and active-duty service members. It has also provided a welcoming setting for election forums, the Maitland Rotary Art Festival and other gatherings that encourage neighbors to participate in the civic and cultural life of Maitland.

Fundraising has also been an important part of the Venue’s community involvement. Corks & Forks brought together local restaurants, chefs, beverage partners, entertainers and community organizations for an evening that showcased Maitland businesses while raising funds to support the historic Venue. Events like these demonstrate how food, art, music and fellowship can be used to strengthen local connections and support meaningful causes.

Gala Monte Carlo

The Venue’s next signature event, Gala Monte Carlo, will take place October 17, 2026. Maitland’s premier fall gala will feature award-winning singer Michael Andrew, Casino Monte Carlo, live and silent auctions, heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and spirit pairings and lakeside experiences. Proceeds will benefit the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, IDignity and United Abolitionists, continuing the Venue’s commitment to using special events to support important community and charitable work.
